About 18th Floor Custom Arts

18th Floor Custom Arts was built on the idea that custom work should feel personal—not mass produced.

I’m Brent, the owner and creative force behind the business. With more than 19 years of experience in art and graphic design, design is at the core of everything I create. That background brings a strong understanding of layout, balance, typography, image preparation, detail, and visual presentation into every project.

My experience helps me look beyond the engraving itself. I consider how the artwork fits the material, how the elements work together, and how the finished piece will look when it is displayed, gifted, or used.

What started as a passion for creating has grown into a small workshop focused on custom laser engraving across a wide range of materials. I regularly work with wood, slate, acrylic, leatherette, cardboard, paper, cork, glass, chrome, metal, and tumblers to create cutting boards, coasters, patches, drinkware, signage, keepsakes, gifts, and one-of-a-kind custom pieces.

Each project is made to order and built around the customer’s idea. Rather than limiting you to a fixed list of products, I focus on what you want to create.

Sometimes the starting point is a photograph, a name, a handwritten message, a logo, a special date, a rough sketch, or simply an idea that has not been fully developed yet. My role is to help shape that idea into something that works visually and can be successfully created using the materials and equipment available.

Not every project begins with perfect artwork, and not every idea fits into a standard category. I approach each request individually, offering honest guidance about what is possible, what may need to be simplified, and what will produce the best finished result.

It is often easier for you to tell me what you are looking for than for me to tell you everything I can make—because every project starts with your idea.

At 18th Floor Custom Arts, the goal is not simply to place a name on an object. It is to create something personal, thoughtful, well designed, and worth keeping.
